Harju Elekter Oy is an environmentally responsible electrical and automation system manufacturer. Our environmental policy forms an integral part of our strategy, processes, and every day operations across all our sites. We take responsibility for promoting and delivering sustainable solutions. To this end, we have made the following commitments:

    • We comply with all applicable environmental laws and standards, including the ISO 14001, and our commitments such as the climate partnership agreement.
    • We seek to prevent environmental impact through sustainable manufacturing methods and awareness, for example by replacing part of our electricity consumption with renewable solar power. We continuously develop solutions around renewable energy and advanced electric transport solutions for the commercial market.

The environmental impacts of our activities are largely indirect impacts and recyclable waste, which can be recovered by waste management facilities. Primary indirect impacts include emissions from transport.

Our people play a key role in our environmental efforts

Harju Elekter Oy is committed to observing its environmental responsibility across all of the group’s functions, sites, and roles. We train, guide, and encourage our people so that all members of our organization are aware of our environmental policy and their personal responsibilities.

We are committed to protecting the environment, preventing environmental pollution, and promoting sustainability across our sites in Ulvila, Kerava, and Kurikka. To this end, we maintain an environmental management system following the ISO 14001 standard.

Focus on continuous development

Harju Elekter Oy monitors developments in its operating environment and is committed to taking environmental matters into account in the development of its operations. Purposeful management and monitoring practices support the delivery of sustainability goals.

We have signed the climate pledge, which is aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and abatement of climate change. Through the climate partnership, we can share our experiences and ideas with other partners and strive to create a better future together.
